The Citadel of Love
We believe that while worship is our chief aim, God has assigned us to be His messengers here on Earth. Therefore, we desire to share the love of Jesus Christ and provide a refuge in the city of Hartford, CT. Our motto for 2012 is "Flowing in faith in favor"
The church's origins were humble. In fact, the first meeting of the Citadel with founding pastor Marichal Monts was held in a hotel room in downtown Hartford on July 30, 1995. From day one, the founder of the Citadel of Love has had a dream to reach the world for Christ and to preach to millions, fulfilling the Great Commission. Just about 50 people attended that first Sunday service, but Pastor Monts immediately began to attract people from all ages, ethnic and religious backgrounds, and walks of life.
